SHOULD MY DOCTOR KNOW?
If you are receiving treatment from your doctor then it makes sense to tell him or her about your plans to have complementary Therapy. The complementary Therapy treatment may enable you to reduce or even stop taking some forms of medication, but your doctor should be consulted regarding any change or prescription.
Although complementary Therapy may provide relief, it should not be considered a substitute for conventional medical treatments.
When Treatment or Massage is not advisable?
Massage treatment is non-invasive, relaxing and natural. It is therefore generally considered a safe treatment for most people.
If you suffer from panic attacks or have a history of sexual abuse, you may find that hands-on therapies such as massage may not be appropriate for you.
There are three types of contraindication for some treatments and massage:
TOTAL: not be performed at all.
LOCAL: can be performed but not over the contraindicated areas.
MEDICAL: can only be performed once medical permission has been granted.

If you do not wish to do this you may sign the disclaimer where you agree to proceed with the treatment without confirmation from GP.
